Why the Iranian regime is incapable of reforming from within

The annual #PMOI gathering was held on July 1 at the Villepinte convention hall, northeast of Paris. Tens of thousands of supporters from all over the world gathered to attend this gathering. As the hall did not have the capacity to accommodate all participants, thousands remained outside the hall.
It seems the light of change is shining on Iran. The ruling regime is in disarray and the Iranian society is simmering with discontent. These circumstances, she said, highlight three fundamental truths related to freedom and liberty in Iran, as well as peace and tranquility in the region.

The unprecedented strength of the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Paris and Albania has severely alarmed the Iranian regime. It has also raised a pertinent question, can the Iranian regime be reformed within?

The signs so far are not encouraging. Tehran sent its foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, to Paris to prevent the annual gathering of opposition figures. As French officials found the regime’s position very weak, they ended up signing a contract for the benefit of the French oil giant Total.
Hossein Shariatmadari, editor-in-chief Kayhan daily, known as the mouthpiece of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, wrote an article titled “Humiliated and Rewarded”, which mentioned the Total contract being signed at the same time as the PMOI gathering in Paris.

“The remarks of former French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner at a PMOI meeting one day after Zarif’s return from France is another sign of the French government's insistence on humiliating our nation,” he wrote.

INU - According to reports obtained from inside Iran, the past months have seen a spike in arrests and executions. In fear of mass anti-state protests similar to those that took place in 2009, the regime has resorted to raid the homes of political and human rights activists in Iran, especially the supporters of the main resistance group People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (#PMOI/#MEK).

This happens against the backdrop of a widespread campaign in Iran condemning the regime’s three-decade-long crimes in the country’s prisons, especially the massacre of 30 thousand political prisoners in the summer of 1988.

One of the more recent cases is that of Majid Assadi, 34, who lives in Karaj, 40 km west of Tehran. Holding a degree in economics from the Alameh Tabatabai University, Assadi is a student activist, former political prisoner, and a supporter of the MEK.

On February 18, 2017 agents of the Ministry or Intelligence and Security (MOIS) arrested Assadi after they violently broke into his father’s home in Karaj.

The ten armed MOIS agents arrested Assadi and ransacked his house without any warrant.

At the time of the arrest, the agents also harmed Assadi’s ailing father, who had just undergone a liver implant surgery as part of his cancer treatment.

The agents handcuffed Assadi in front of his family and interrogated his family in his presence to torment him. They then confiscated all of his personal belongings, including his personal computer, phone and books.

NCRI - On Saturday, July 1st, The National Council of Resistance of Iran (#NCRI) held their annual “Free Iran” rally, which was attended by some 100,000 people, including hundreds of high ranking political supporters from the US, the EU, and dignitaries from around the world.

One of the speakers at the event was Honorable Prince Turki Al Faisal, former Saudi ambassador in the United States and United Kingdom. And the current chairman of King Faisal Foundation's Center for Research and Islamic Studies in Saudi Arabia.

London, 3 Jul - On Saturday, the Free Iran Gathering in Paris hosted a series of panels on how the Iranian Regime is the cause of war and terrorism in the Middle East and how ousting them will bring peace to the region and freedom for the Iranian people.

The Iranian Regime is the leading cause of discord in the Middle East; it seeks to destabilise the region through proxy terror groups like Hamas and Hezbollah in order to swoop in and take power once the existing government has lost control.

Jamal Ali Jassim Bu Hassan, Member of Parliament from Bahrain, and Saleh Ghalab, Former Minister of Information and Culture of Jordan, both addressed the Iranian Regime’s interference at the Free Iran Gathering.

Hassan said that the “fascist” Iranian Regime has interfered in all Arab capitals, while Ghalab said the Regime has occupied capitals across the region.
Indeed, the mullahs boast of controlling the capitals of Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon.

Mohammad Mohaddesin, Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the NCRI, said that the Regime is frustrated because it is not succeeding as much as it wanted to in Iraq, where it wants to establish control in order to have a Shiite Crescent across the Middle East.

Paula Casaca, a former member of the European Parliament, told of how the Iranian Regime seeks to dominate first the Middle East and the rest of the world. He said Iran has already invaded Iraq and that they are most definitely not fighting ISIS in Syria.

Sheikh Matlab, a lawyer from Iraq, told of how the Iranian Regime infiltrated Iraq and occupied it.

He said: “In 2003, we expected to have a new Iraq but our country was occupied by the Iranian regime.”

He went on to say: “All the wars in the Middle East are because of the Iranian regime and its transgressions.”

What Does The Future Hold For Iran?

It is very important to have the capability to predict what would happen in few months later in Iran ,it is not something that would have raised in some few weeks or months ,it is because of  and the consequences  of 38 years that passed in Iran and the middle east totally ,and say .global influences  of this regime .I think it is happening ,something that would cause a deep change in the middle east .Iranian regime is in the edge of an immediate collapse .it needed  some effort ,and support an uprising ,a vast one ,I mean .#MaryamRajavi has for a long time called for this matter.and today from everywhere we hear that the time has come .

What Does The Future Hold For Iran?

This weekend in a cavernous convention hall outside of Paris, over 100,000 flag waving, foot-stomping, cheering supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran ( consisted of #MEK/#PMOI and other groups and personalities) gathered for their annual meeting.

Part pep rally and part television programming for a global audience, the annual event has for years been focused on galvanizing support for the #MEK and drawing attention to the plight of dissident refugees sheltering in squalid camps inside Iraq and subject to frequent attacks from Iranian-backed forces resulting in score of deaths.

What was different this year was that all of MEK members —nearly 3,000 of them—were safely evacuated to a welcoming Albania as part of long-delayed resettlement program and escaped the clutches of an Iranian regime that seemed hell-bent on eradicating any sign of an indigenous Iranian resistance movement.

In a dramatic cinematic touch, a satellite feed from Tirana, Albania of the 3,000 resettled MEK members was beamed into the main Paris rally to the delight of the participants and vice-versa in what could be considered the world’s largest video conference call.

The atmosphere bordered on giddy as the #MEK logged several positive developments over the past few months, not the least of which was the survival of their besieged members in Iraq.

Allegedly, this was a response to a “war against terrorists”. However, even before the missile strike, the Iranian authorities were using the June 7th terrorist attack on the Iranian parliament building and the mausoleum of Islamic Republic founder Ruhollah Khomeini to portray themselves as both an opponent of, and target for, global terrorism.

One of Donald Trump's frequent applause lines when he was a candidate was his promise to "rip up" the Iranian nuclear agreement, which Trump and other critics claimed was one-sided because it lifted crippling economic sanctions yet allowed too much room for Iran to pursue development of nuclear weapons. In April, the Trump administration certified that Iran was narrowly living up to the agreement to halt the development of nuclear weapons, but the administration nonetheless slapped new sanctions on Iran for its ballistic missile program and state-sponsored support for terrorism. This new approach might not be so aggressive as hard-line opponents of the Iranian nuclear deal hoped for, but it does deliver a needed shot across the bow to an Iranian regime that continues to threaten regional peace and suppress its people.

A vast convention hall located north of Paris was the scene of a massive Iranian Diaspora gathering who voiced their demand for a better future through regime change in Tehran.

Hundreds of dignitaries from the Arab World, United States and Europe stood alongside the Iranian opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (#NCRI) and its President Maryam Rajavi in condemning Tehran’s meddling throughout the Middle East as the main obstacle to establish peace and security in at least four regional states.

Prince Turki al-Faisal, chairman of the King Faisal Center for Islamic Studies, said in his speech Saturday at the Iranian opposition conference in Paris that “the Iranian government is the greatest sponsor of terrorism” in the world.

Al-Faisal said, “Khomeini sought to export revolutions and coups to the region.”

Al-Faisal stressed that the Iranian elections are undemocratic and illegitimate because Khamenei appoints the candidates, saying, “the behavior of the Iranian regime does not qualify it to be a democratic system.”

Prince Al-Faisal said, “Officials of the Iranian regime should be presented to the International Criminal Court.”

Several figures who participated in the Iranian opposition conference in Paris called for supporting the struggle of the Iranian people calling for change by overthrowing Tehran’s regime.

Among the attendees of the conference were parliamentary delegations from Britain, Italy, Albania, Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, Tunisia and Algeria – as well as various other European countries.
